The Amazing Spider-Man is an upcoming open world
action/adventure video game.
It is being developed by Beenox and Activision the
publishers. The game is going to be released in North America on the 26th
of June 2012 and in Europe on 26th of June 2012 for the Xbox 360 and
Playstation 3.
The game is set after the events of the film as the new Oscorp
chief executive is planning to create new cross species using the Lizards
research. The experiments escape and cause mayhem in Manhattan in a bid to stop
this; the chief executive creates a group of robots but ends up doing more
damage to the city. It’s up to spider man to save the city and he will face
enemies like Rhino, Iguana, Scorpion and Vermin.
This year the game will have an open world/ free-roaming
concept, meaning you can explore the Manhattan city more by climbing buildings
and swinging from them and also gives you the opportunity to do side missions
away from the main storyline. The game will feature a ‘’Web Rush’’ mechanic
which allow's Spider-Man to transition better while swinging.
Some gamers will be familiar with the combat system as it is
the same system that is used in the Batman game series, which will allow a free
flow design and counter attacks which will make for some very good fight
scenes.
Also during the game players will be able to find vintage comic
books such as the Amazing Fantasy.
