Aliens: Colonial Marines is an upcoming first person shooter
and survival horror video game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game is
being developed by gearbox software and Sega are the publishers of the game.
ACM is based on the characters and creatures of the Aliens franchise. It is to
be released the 12th of February2013.
Aliens: Colonial Marine’s takes part after the 3rd alien
film. The story is told through a colonial marines eye’s as he is part of a
search and rescue team in search of Ellen Ripley and the rest of the missing
marines on the U.S.S. Sulaco.
The enemy’s player’s face are the xenomorphs. Players
also face human enemies in mercenaries. The places that were in the Aliens film
will make reappearance like the derelict alien spacecraft, the Sulaco and
LV-426.
In ACM players gain experience points by completing certain objectives and killing enemy’s which can be used to purchase upgrades for weapons and allow players to customize their character. These experience points, customizations and upgrades can be carried over to other gameplay modes. When playing online players can either play as the Aliens or colonial marine. During online play Aliens can get a player controlled Queen which is much harder to kill.
